Sandy, and the whole astro kennels team are top notch. The facilities are state of the art, and always clean. Our dog is special needs, and there's no one else we will trust with him when we travel (about 1 week a month). When he fist met Sandy he had some fear and even growled when she walked in the room. After we picked him up, he whined when we left her. Just the mention of "school" and "Ms. Sandy" gets his tail wagging, and he literally jumps in the car to go see her. The training has been a lifesaver, and watching our dog gain confidence in such a short amount of time has been wonderful. We have done the boot camp along with training classes, and have nothing but good things to say. We fully expected to pay a premium price for a premium service, but our classes were the same price as the PetSmart classes. But Sandy's class was a masterclass in training and patience as opposed to very basic commands at PetSmart. It blows our mind how affordable astro kennels is. I would absolutely recommend this business to any and all dog owners.

Terrible boarding experience for my cats. One of my cats wasn’t fed one of his meals; they argued and said it was logged, but he was returned with an extra can of cat food. Astro Kennels also removed the towel lining his carrier and never returned it when I picked them up. The other two’s collars were taken off of them and hidden in random places in their carriers. I have never seen my cats as upset as when we left that place. This wasn’t the first time they messed up, either. Last time they gave the wrong meds and left out a meal then, too. We will not be back.

My pup has gotten kennel cough 3 times in the past 9 months from this kennel. This is the only kennel that we use, so I know it's not coming from somewhere else. The vet said there has been a major problem with kennel cough recently, and a facility would have to shut down to clean it properly. This has cost me close to $1,000 in vet bills and medications. We have been coming here for over 3 years. Unfortunately we won't be coming back due to this issue. I may bring an action for recovery of costs.

If I could give them more stars I would! The whole team at both locations are the best! I recently adopted a basset hound/lab mix who is 3 and has been at the shelter for 8 months. I was defeated because his behavior definitely needed a lot of improvement. Through group training, day boarding training, and daycare, he really has been more behaved and a much happier dog. I want to give a special shout-out to Sandy who called me personally when I came to class and had a meltdown because Goose wasn’t behaving at home. Training isn’t just teaching the dog behaviors but also teaches the owner how to effectively work with their dog but also about the patience and consistency you have to have. The staff at Astro Kennel really cares about helping you! Goose will definitely be going there for overnight boarding as well. Astro Kennels has been such a big blessing!
